new/edit page -> wsod

  • When I want to edit or create a new post, I get a white screen of death.

    I have already deactivated all plugins, reinstalled a default theme, reinstalled 5.9.3, all brought no success.

    In debug mode I get the following error message:
    Deprecated: block_categories is deprecated since version 5.8.0! Use block_categories_all instead. in /home/sites/site100028717/web/gickelman.de/www/wp-includes/functions.php on line 5698

    Unfortunately I can’t do anything with this.

    I am grateful for any help.

  • The message must be triggered by a plugin or theme. Do you have the default theme not only installed but also activated? Did you do that at the same time as deactivating all plugins? Also check if you have mandatory plugins in it?

    Yes, I deactivated all plugins and activated the theme “Twenty Twenty-Two”. I will test it again just to be sure.

    Hi @adph has this been solved? Have you tried selecting a different version of your PHP? It could also be possible that your PHP preprocessor has a dismal limit. Kindly check your php.ini file too. Let me know.
