New design messes up menu.

    This is part of a multisite so this issue is across 10+ sites but the this is the parent one. When we go to the events page the menu gets messed up and locks you into to that page unless you change the URL. Also events aren’t showing up on other parts of the site where it would normal show previews.

    This was using the legacy version which we just force upgraded and this happened.

    Hi @mattenser,

    Thanks for reaching out, let’s see what’s going on!

    First, please check to be sure you’re running the latest version of the plugin, which is 6.0.2.

    Next, try changing the Events template under Events > Settings > Display – does that make any difference?

    Thank you for your reply.

    The plugin is up to date and I tried changing the event template, but that just messed it up more. So I set it back to the original template.

    Any other ideas?

    Hi @mattenser, thanks for trying it out. Let’s see. The Default Event Templates usually do the trick, under Events → Settings → Display → Event Templates.

    I’m curious, could you try switching to the default theme and see if it has the same behavior? Although we support various themes, there are other that needs more customizations in order for this to work.

    We ended up “fixing it” but applying the following CSS
    .hero-home-events {
    margin-top: 150px!important;
    }

    But I found that event pages is also messed up, but for some reason one of the sites in the multisite looks fine. I can’t find any difference in settings in the one that is working. Can you look and see if you see anything?

    Hi @mattenser, apologies for the delay here, I’m back now. Quick question are they using the same theme and plugins? It would be good to cross-check some plugins if they are causing some conflicts.

    Please read the Testing for Conflicts Article before doing anything. We’d recommend conducting these tests on a Staging Server.

    So the real issue is a previous developer had a ton of old HTML and CSS in the event template section that was messing things up.

    If you visit the links above you will see it looking normal again.
