New Deprecation notice introduced in 6.8.2.1 which is not present in 6.8.2.

PHP Deprecated: Return type of Tribe\Events\Views\V2\iCalendar\Links\Link_Abstract::jsonSerialize() should either be compatible with JsonSerializable::jsonSerialize(): mixed, or the #[\ReturnTypeWillChange] attribute should be used to temporarily suppress the notice in /var/www/html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Views/V2/iCalendar/Links/Link_Abstract.php on line 443

    Hey @austyfrosty !

Thanks for the report! We caught and fixed that deprecation right before tagging the release. So you should not have gotten that deprecation with the plugin update. Did you happen to test with the dev trunk by any chance?

If you keep getting the deprecation when updating the plugin from your WordPres site, please let us know so we can look into it.

I am using wpackagist.org, so it’s possible it pulls from trunk if the README Stable tag points to trunk and not the latest release version.

Just happened to run a composer update, and got the error while testing other FEED enhancements.

    Thanks.

Update: dot org is now tagged with 6.8.2.1, but WordPress Packagist or my local may have cached the deprecated code before officially tagging the release; “We caught that deprecation right before tagging the release.”

Downloaded a copy, and deprecation is resolved, so fore sure a local cache issue.

I am glad to hear that @austyfrosty thank you for double checking!

It’s good to know that people using WP Packagist does this, we can prepare our releases a little diff.
