• I have copied my wordpress installation folder from my old hosting provider but they have deleted my database. Is it possible to create a new database for my site to that I can rehost on another server?

  • Yes you can but you will loose your old content like pages, posts , menus. If you have backup database for your website then you can import database from old website to your new hosting account.

The hosting company deleted DBs now I only have my wordpress root folder. I don’t mind losing the pages etc, it’s the structure I would like to keep. Can this be done by creating and linking to a new database?

Yes, you can. Simple login into your new hosting control panel and find the option to create database and user , after creating user and database in the proper way. After that you can linked your database to your WordPress installation.
