New data-schema-attribute on link

    Hi,

    I do the update today and discover than now, when I create internal or external link, all links have “data-schema-attribute”.

    I did a search on google and I can’t really find any information on this, can you explain me why all the new links created have “data-schema-attribute”?

    Thank you for contacting the support.

    We use data-schema-attribute in the PRO version to add the about & mentions properties in the schema when user enables the Toogle Set to about & Set to mention from the Link Popup:
    https://i.rankmath.com/VoHx60

    You can use following filter to remove the this attribute from the link:
    add_filter( 'rank_math/link/remove_schema_attribute', '__return_false' );

    Hi

    About and mention is good think, but the “data-schema-attribute” are added to all the link, not only when I select About and mention.

    Hope it will not afect the global SEO.

    We noticed that in the Classic Editor, this attribute is added even when about & mention values are not selected. This is just a data-attribute and it will not affect the global SEO.

    With that said, we have notified the developers to get this sorted in one of the upcoming updates.
