    Hello Stefano,

i just updated to 4.5, where the new composer is the default starting page when creating a new newsletter.

I am sure, that I will never need this, as i have created sveral custom themes for certain occasions.

In my view users with less experience will have difficulties to find the “switch to old version”-link and will find it boring to do this every time.

Therefore I would like to know if there will be (or already is) a way to adjust generally if the composer or the themes-page should show up first?

(B.t.w the composer does not seem to work at all)

    Thank you for your Support!

    Hello,

the choice to move to a new composer has been a long-thought decision we took to let our customers have an easy and powerful tool to compose their newsletters. However, we do know that a lot of users were using custom templates, that’s why we included the option to use the “old” editor instead of the composer.

Unfortunately, themes created outside the composer will not be compatible with it, because allowing that would lead to a lot of rendering issues and broken layouts.

That said, we are already collecting feedbacks on the new editor and we will listen carefully to each of them: introducing templates, adding more blocks and streamlining the creation flow are definitely options we will look into in the next releases.

So thank you for letting us know your thoughts on it, and keep following us for further developments.

    Hello,

Thank you for the reply. One threat in the Newsletter-Forum has a similar topic and there your wrote that there would be an option in the next release wheter to show the composer first or the page with the templates.

A quick feedback: for “normal” users the composer is much too complicatetd to use. I know from a lot of customers, that they already have problems using a ready-to-send-theme.

So, if the composer should become standard, I would have to stop recommending “Newsletter” and look for a more simple plugin
