New Comment Notification Sent before published

    Hi,

    Seem to be having a challenge with the New Comment notification being sent before it is published (comments are held for moderation).

    Ie. Author is notified of a new comment, however no new comment is visible as the comment has not been approved by admin.

    Any help much appreciated, thank you

    Thanks for your message.

    That’s correct – the New Comment / Awaiting Moderation notification currently cannot be split into two due to a restriction in WordPress and so it has to handle both situations in the same notification.
    I’m hoping to be able to address this in the future however, providing WordPress gives a way to do so.

    For now, if it helps, I’d suggest a tweaking of the workflow in your WordPress admin of how comments are moderated.
