New comment email notification for editors/authors

I think this has been changed but you could try putting this into the functions.php file

remove_action('publish_post','wp_notify_postauthor');

Did this work for you at all? I have over 30 contributors to my site. Some of them don’t like to get notifications for comments, I don’t want to turn this off for everyone. But only for those that request it.

So a thought .. what if I did something like this:

if userid = 23,800,234, etc then run this:

remove_action(‘publish_post’,’wp_notify_postauthor’);

What that work at all?

I’d also like to not show the users email and IP to my authors. Any thoughts?

But it’s still sending the email and IP. I want to remove those 2 from showing up in the emails. Any ideas?
