    Evening

I’ve recently started experiencing problems with Categories and Products. I recently changed my shop front to show ‘categories and products’. The vast majority of my products were in just two categories “Posters” and “T-shirts”. Everything was fine. But then I added a third Category “Mugs” and created four products within the Printful website and had them synced with Woocommerce but they are not showing in the “Mugs” category. In fact the “Mugs” category isn’t showing at all. I tried another new category called “Bags” and put an item in it to test it again but it’s not appearing as a category in the shop either.

I’ve since tried adding a new T-shirt but it is also just showing as a product and does appear to have been added to the “T-shirt” category when looking at the Shop page but when you click the “t-shirt” category it is in there.

Hopefully that makes sense so i can now ask my two questions:

What can I do in order to get new categories to show up as categories in the shop?

How can I get new products to show as being in the Categories they are meant to be (so if the “t-shirt” category has 3 t-shirts in it then the “t-shirt” category utton is showing 3 items)?

Thank you so much in advance for your help
    Steve

  • You can try:
Dashboard > WooCommerce > Status > Tools tab > Recount Terms button
    Any better?

Thanks, but I had already seen that advice elsewhere and unfortunately it hasn’t worked for me.

    Thanks for trying though.

Temporarily switch to the default Twenty Seventeen theme and deactivate all other plugins. Do you still have the problem?

I’m afraid so. Did all that and still showing as before.

    Did you reset permalinks:
Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks & click “Save Changes” twice?

I’ve now tried that along with switching to Twenty Seventeen theme and deactivating all plug inside. Still the same.

Sorry I’m out. Hopefully @icaleb can help us out here.

    Hmm, interesting.

Do you have an server-side caching? Might need to clear that out / disable while testing.

If there is caching, and just disabling doesn’t help. Might need to disable then go through the plugin/theme conflict testing again: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-self-service-guide/#section-4
