New Categories

  • I am trying to add a new category to my existing blog but it won’t let me.
    Anyone else having that problem?
    I have tried both from the category page and from edit posts, add new category, neither work, when trying from the edit posts nothing happens. When I hit the add category under categories it takes me to my blog and says nothing found. But it still doesn’t add the new category.
    Strange!!

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.
