In the past month or two, a new row of buttons has magically appeared in the post and page editor on one of the websites I manage. Trying to figure out where the heck they came from, and how I can get them showing in the editor on my other website!

    There are buttons to insert:
    – columns
    – divider
    – accordion or tab
    – button
    – icon
    – youtube
    – vimeo
(hmmm, wish I could insert a screenshot here)

It’s bizarre that they’re showing up on one of my websites but not the other. Both are on WordPress 4.4.1 and with identical theme and plugins (including Jetpack – wondering if it’s some setting in there?).

If anyone has?a guess as to what made these buttons appear, and instructions for how I can turn them on in my other site, please do share!

Hm, I’m not sure where those are coming from either, but they’re not part of standard WordPress.

Try deactivating all plugins. If that removes the buttons, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not remove the buttons, try switching to the Twenty Sixteen theme to see if you theme was adding them.

My bad, I just figured out where they were from — an old plugin I thought I had long ago deactivated. Hadn’t noticed that feature when I used the plugin originally. Apologies for crying wolf here!
