I have noticed a lot of others have had the same problem, where the modal popup box “NEW: Bulk Smush images in the background!” will not go away after clicking either the “got it” button or the close “X” button.

This seems to have started since a recent update to the plugin. I deactivated caching plugins but this didn’t change the outcome.

Have you guys been able to work out a solution for this? I have to keep reverting the plugin back to version 3.11.1.

Hi team,

Yes I’ve followed those steps already, it doesn’t solve the problem. It seems to definitely a problem with the latest version of the plugin as performing a rollback to version 3.11.1 fixes the problem. I use this plugin on every website I build and it happens on each one of them.

Our developers made multiple test and we were able to replicate the issue. There is no fix at the moment, apart from rollback plugin to previous version, but our developers are working on that.

Okay awesome, glad you guys were able to replicate the issue now. If it helps, there was a similar modal popup in a previous version about the new Super Smush feature that didn’t have this glitch.
