I appreciate the continuous improvements of the plugin but the new bugs are very disappointing.

    1. Each picture in the gallery can have a title and description (displayed underneath with a smaller font). Now in case the picture has an exif tag, description is ignored and some exif properties are displayed instead (author, camera, aperture size). This is VERY UNWANTED and it didn’t work that way. Yes, exif tags were copied to the description field when added, but you could freely change it.
    2. In the gallery edit screen I was able to pull the picture (entire row) up and down to re-order it, using a sort of cross / anchor on the left. Now this is gone and I have no idea how to change the order of a picture.

    A smaller thing:
    3. By clicking the gallery icon in the post edit screen a pop up was displayed so I could change some properties. Now a full-screen something is displayed, not very intuitive and no idea how to save the changes. It creates a new gallery instead.

I would appreciate if you fix especially nr. 1 ??

    Hi,

    1. Simply try to add this picture to a gallery and leave title/description fields empty. It should not display anything, but it does – my name, camera model, aperture and such things. Moreover, you cannot overwrite it with your own description:

    2. I have no special errors just a warning:
This site appears to use a scroll-linked positioning effect. This may not work well with asynchronous panning; see https://developer.mozilla.org/docs/Mozilla/Performance/ScrollLinkedEffects for further details and to join the discussion on related tools and features!
This is on Firefox, also checked with IE and it’s same – can’t move pictures up and down.
Deactivated all other plugins –> same. This is how it looks: https://telesfor99.org/Capture.PNG

    3. OK this seems to be fixed or was just related to a single case, either way – good job!

    Thanks

OK update on (1). The only problem is with the edit view again. So the second text field is something else, not description, possibly redirect url. I managed to update it via the workaround. Check the tick mark, Bulk action –> Edit info, enter Title and Description. So we’re missing “description” text field (and that moving anchor). That’s also the reason I was seeing exif data (it is automatically copied to description, which I was unable to see here). Again this is on any browser with all plugins disabled. Latest wordpress version.

    Hi,

Please see below the answers to your questions:

    1. Please note that in the case in the Options the “Auto-fill metadata” is selected to be “Yes” the description is automatically filled in with the metadata, please select for the option “No”

    2. The issue is coming from the screen size, in the case you take a look from bigger screen the drag and drop will be visible. Regarding the description the development team will fix it

    Thanks. Have a nice day.

Thanks! Issue resolved with your hint about the screen size. Right now I only have my laptop screen (1360×768 standard HD) but un-zoomed a view in firefox to 80% and voila! Drag&drop is possible and also Description field showed up. So it is just hiding instead of scaling if there’s little space. Well, it worked different way before, some people may get confused as I did… but ultimately everything works.

    Thanks!

    Hey!

    Thank you for the comments!

Our development team is aware of these issues and will soon fix them in Photo Gallery plugin. In the meantime, please use a device with a larger screen to edit your galleries.

    Cheers!
