New Blog Registration

  • I have wp installed on 3 sites, 2 were installed through a shared hosting account and the registrstion to wp . com was complete and I can see them from the Dashboard, Now I have installed a blog onto a dedicated server and can’t seem to figure out how to register it, cqan anyone tell me how or where to get instructions.

    I’m not very familiar with how it works, it might not be public but only looked that way to me when I’m logged in. You know how, say, self-install WP or Blogger or Facebook or whatever you automatically have a Profile started when you sign up, the whole WP.com kind of came as a surprise to me since I only meant to “sign up” to use Akismet and Automattic Stats, but when going to WP.com homepage (when logged in), I see my name and my self-install link right there on their homepage. I found it disconcerting at first. But in reality maybe only I see my link and no one else could. I don’t know if it comes up in a search there, personally I’d rather it doesn’t since I’m not looking for random traffic.
