  • The concept sounds neat, but I was too overwhelmed by the front page to actually read much. When I forced myself to focus for a minute, I immediately noticed that the same excerpt for “Limelight Club Reopens as a Mini-Mall Marketplace” is displayed in at least 3 different areas on the same page! If everything on the page was unique content, I might understand, but cluttering up the front page with redundant posts just seems like a bad idea.

    Pare things down. Only have what really needs to be highlighted on the front page, and make the featured stuff really jump out at the reader. As it is now, it all kinda blends together until all you see is one big, overwhelming wall of stuff.

    Also, I’m not crazy about the header image. Besides having the same background as the site background, the header image looks like really poor image quality. You have so much going on with the content, as well as a visually “busy” site background, that you really could get away with a MUCH simpler looking header image and have it look more professional.
