New blog is very different from old one after Export / Import

    Hello – I’m having a problem with a blog import that looks very different from the original. I’m moving hosts with a number of client blogs. Here is what I have done:
    Exported the XML from old and imported in new with images ticked
    Noticed missing items and found maximum time exceeded error in XML file and created .htaccess with higher values
    Exported again / imported again posts seem to be there but the right column still different and pages different.
    Upgraded both instances of WordPress to 2.9.2
    Exported the XML from the original and imported again. Missing Archive from Feb 2009 onwards, right hand column still not right.
    Could it be that the database table names of the two installations are different? The second installation was done by firing a config file in which the database table names are slightly different (diff. prefixes)
