After my old blog, Paw Prints, went through some bad juju on Friday, I have gone ahead with a new blog, my own domain, etc. The “bad juju” came about when I tried to insert the follow code in the lower section of my blog. I don’t recall what I did, but I tried to undo and the blog’s dashboard was locked out.

    <a href="https://www.xboxgamercard.org/gamertag/Spacedog2k5"><img src="https://www.xboxgamercard.org/gamercard-generator/xbl2_image.php?gamertag=Spacedog2k5" /></a>

So, long story short, I have a new blog, The Barking Schnauzer, and I would like to insert that image code into my blog in the light grey area just below the word “Comment”.

Here is the link for my blog: https://barkingschnauzer.net/

I hope someone will be able to help. Thank you in advance.

Which template is that page using? You’ll need to create a Child Theme and then copy that template file and paste it into your Child Theme directory.

    Then you can modify it.

    Andrew –

I am using the Easel theme.

I know have the child theme set-up (took me a while – turns out there was a plug-in that made it that much easier). Now, my question is can you please point me in the right direction as to where to place that coding I was inquiring after?

Never mind. It appears that my old blog’s severely-outdate theme was really a mess. Things are much better now. I was able to do what I was asking using a Widget. Thank you for the advice regarding the “child theme” – I think that will help save a lot of the grief I suffered with my old blog’s demise.
