New Appearance/Menu is html?

How do I restore the older menu creation link in the dashboard? Is there a way to completely remove the block editor?

It looks like the new wordpress block editor took the graphic ui out of the dashboard navigation and replaced it with a code block. I’m not even sure I believe this so let me restate as I must be wrong.

To create or edit and menu in wordpress, I now have to edit html?

Like for real, the drag and drop and other features of the menu creation/edit process is now text based? Do you folks know that your block editor still doesn’t facilitate simple cut and paste actions? I mean, breaking the ability to use a UI to create a menu is one thing but forcing that creation into a code editor that breaks cut and paste is surely novel. Here’s the thing; 1. It doesn’t work.

I’m going to try and find another platform but right now I have dozens of sites I need to work on. So fixing your horrific design constraints and affordances is top priority. I’m sorry I wasn’t there to tell someone, “no” during the design phase. Someone really broke this platform into pieces that will never be reassembled.
