New admin ads annoying

  • Used to love this plugin but the new ads that I have to dismiss EVERY time I log into a site using it makes it deeply annoying. That and the new interface is not an improvement. I’m seeking alternatives.

    Hi BrattDev,

    You shouldn’t see a notice that’s been dismissed from the MetaSlider admin page again for at least 12 weeks (and in some cases, never). Is that not happening for you?

    @kbatdorf I notice that some notices have the hide_time parameter going through a translation function (__()). Is that intended, or is that something that needs tweaking?

    The ad dismissal is 12 weeks per ad and 24 hours all together. So yeah @brattdev could see the Christmas ad today, hit dismiss, then 24 hours later see an ad for upgrading to pro or “rate plugin”. Each ad would be hidden for 12 weeks though.

    I’ll tweak the way it works tomorrow to hide everything on for 12 weeks on a dismissal instead of that 24 hour period. We can release it asap too.
