    Greetings,

I am trying to subscribe to the free premium service that you kindly offer, but I always get the below email message from your side:

“Hi there, thanks for signing up.

Unfortunately, we are unable to approve your plan as it does not appear your subscribers consented to receiving marketing emails from you.
Sending marketing emails to someone without their prior and explicit consent is prohibited by our anti-spam policy.”

The only subscriber is myself (my personal email). The domain of my website (inteca.gr) is verified as well as the FROM addresses. Can you please tell me what exactly is the problem?

P.S. I have not found any solution via google search or in wordpress forum.

    Best regards,
    K. Koufalis

If you are using MailPoet’s sending service, it forces user consent and the email should appear as subscribed in your list of subscribers. Consider it as a 2 step process, when someone subscribes to your website, they will get an email to provide consent to receive emails. I think in your case the email to which you are trying to send newsletters is not subscribed. Go to subscribers and see if that email has subscribed against it.

In order to overcome this, you can use your own sending service and switch off the 2 step consent thing under settings.

Thank you very much for your response! I resolved the problem by disabling Double Opt-In Confirmation under Settings as you mentioned. I received the activation code and then was able to activate subscription!
