• I just did a totally clean fresh install of WP 2.5.1 – default themes, no added plug-ins, all totally virgin ..

This install part went fine .. everything verified .. but logging into the Dashboard, all I get is a blank page ..

The actual blog shows up just fine .. but the admin area .. blanksville.

I searched the forum and saw where some had similar issues when upgrading – mostly due to third party plug-ins .. but that’s not the case here .. this was a straight up fresh install .. just what was in the 2.5.1 package.

    Any help here?

    Thanks.

  • I have just complete and clean reinstall after creating a completely-new data base. Same problem: after logging into admin, I’m redirected to a blank login.php.

Hi — I may have the same problem as those above — I have tried to install a fresh new copy of wp v2.5.2 — all seems to go well during the install — but when i finally try to open up the dashboard page i just get a blank page…??

I’ve installed/de-installed/re-installed three times — and get the same symptom each time. Install site is at https://www.ivetters.com/blog — so, any one got any other useful advice?

    Thanks in advance —

As I mentioned above I had the blank dashboard problem (no error messages, though) when I upgraded to 2.5.1. I posted about it in another thread. I’m happy to say my blank dashboard problem is now resolved. ?? (See post linked above.) Good luck.

Did ANYONE notice that this problem occurs ONLY in firefox. Well, may be it is so only with me.

I tried to view my dashboard of wordpress 2.5.1(“without” commenting the wp_dashboard_setup() line in wp-admin/index.php) in firefox. Its a blank page.

I viewed the same dashboard, in both internet explorer and Opera. It shows up perfectly normal.

    I don’t know why.
