• Hey guys,
Due to various issues building my site (had to build my own wp-config.php, had to stop the cookie test just to try logging in), I never had the install step that setup the admin user for the account. WordPress just never asked about it, nor asked for an e-mail address.

This is a new install, so it should have had a user setup step, right?

Well, I have the login screen now, but since no user has been setup, I can’t login to my new site.

Does anyone know how I can setup an admin for the site by hand or otherwise?

    Thanks much! ??

After digging around, I found this page which showed how to not only reset your password, but see what your user names are.

That found the user name “administrator”.

So I changed the password, and attempted to login. I no longer have the error about an invalid login, BUT it simply returns me to the login page over and over.
