Always right, I got a Wordfence Message Warning about Complianz Update because of vulnerable plugin – so I did and got lot of trouble… In the end, everything more and more complicated and dozen of nerd descriptions as a help text… So spending hours for nothing. Once the user setup the banner, its gone forever. Banner never appears again… Going back to last version a different Adventure… no help and no advise how to…. It sucks

    Hi @rainmatch,

We would be happy to assist you with resolving any issues after updating the plugin, let us know if you’re still experiencing this behavior with the latest version and if there’s an example site that we can take a look at.

    Kind regards, Jarno

    Hi @jarnovos

Unfortunately, we don’t understand why when a plugin works perfectly, we insist on updating and ruining it. Updated today to version 7.0.1 and the banner for consent no longer appears. Checked it out while active in settings the banner however does not appear.

    Possible solutions? Thank you.

    Hi @navzh,

I’d be happy to take a look at any issues that you experienced after the update. But if I visit the above website, it returns a default Apache page instead of a WordPress website (screenshot here).

Perhaps you can create a separate thread for your issue?

    Kind regards, Jarno

Thank you for the quick response.

This is because you definitely use Tor to navigate. Many IPs I have blocked since I frequently encounter malicious actions. Try surfing with a new IP or without Tor and related VPNs.

    Hi @navzh,

I am visiting the attached website using Google Chrome from an IP address in the Netherlands, and I do not use Tor or a VPN.

    Kind regards, Jarno

I understand but unfortunately several IPs in your country have been blocked for fraudulent actions. I have currently removed the blocking and you should be able to view the site.

I was able to view your partial IP and so it should work now.

    Thank you

    Hi @navzh,

The issue seems to be caused by the setting “Choose the appropriate frameworks needed for your configuration.”

This has changed, it should now always be set to “Don’t use an additional framework.” unless you want to enable TCF. As this is a premium feature, it causes a dependency issue in free when enabled.

We will release an update which fixes this dependency check for everybody, we’ll release it in a few hours. If you want fix it before that, you can set this question in wizard/consent/services to “Don’t use an additional framework”, or you can use the latest zip from GitHub:
    https://github.com/really-simple-plugins/complianz-gdpr

If your banner issue is not resolved by this update, please start a separate thread. Hope this helps though!

    Kind regards, Jarno

    Hi @jarnovos

    Thank you for your help.

Effectively it was what you indicated that caused the problem. Now everything is working again.

    Kind regards
