Neve Theme is disabling the comment box

    ? Comments are enabled in settings -> discussion
    ? Comments are checked in the screen options
    ? Allow comments is checked in the post editor

    However, when I switch themes the comment box shows up again, so it’s clearly something wrong with the the neve theme itself.

    What can I do? I have searched forever on this and I’ve found no solutions.

    Make sure you have the Comments enabled in Appearance > Customize > Layout > Single Post https://prnt.sc/o3d1b0.

    Huh I have no idea why that got changed, but that did the trick. Glad it was such a simple fix. Thank you!

    I’ve been trying to get Neve to show a Comments Box and have checked all the aspects suggested by rodicaelena and js3163 – still no luck. Do I have to go though every post and page one by one perhaps? Or is there a global solution? The Comments box appears now and again but somehow vanishes despite everything.
