Hi! Is it possible to add a search field to an individual blog page in non-pro Neve? We have the search icon in the site header with the menu bar, but the client wants a separate search field for the articles on the blog page. I realize the main header search icon searches the articles by default, but they want one on the page. Thanks!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @editor4alan,

Thanks for choosing Neve and sorry for the delayed reply!

It’s possible to achieve this by adding a search widget in Customizer -> Widgets -> Sidebar. Then, go to Customizer -> Layout -> Content/Sidebar -> Blog/Archive and choose the placement of the sidebar on the page under Sidebar Layout and make sure to set the Content Width at a value smaller than 90 so the sidebar (which isn’t included in the Content Width) has enough space to be displayed – screenshot. This way you’ll have a search field beside the content from the blog page.

    Have a nice day!

    Hi Lucia,
A delayed reply is better than no reply at all! And this reply was perfect! You carried me through the extra steps I needed to get beyond where I was stumped.

A nice day to you and yours, too!
