I love using Neve but as I am new to website building I am having a problem with the Hamburger menu on mobile only. I can get the menu to work using a third party plugin which overlays the original menu and functions, but looks terrible.

This is a new site with no custom css or anything.

    Any help here is appreciated.

    Thank you

  • Hi,

The hamburger menu should work well without any third-party plugin. Could you please share your site URL and a screenshot of the header setup you have in the Customizer area so I can take a look?

    Hi,

Yes it seems to have corrected itself. Before The menu window would appear, but without any visible text. Again only in the mobile view, but now it seems to appear just fine.

Thank you for your time and help!

I have the same issue mobile only on this site:

When clicking the hamburger menu I just see white empty space, though the links do seem to be present, because if I click inside the white space it does navigate to a menu item.

This also happens with all plugins disabled and without custom CSS.

See header setup screenshot in link below, showing the empty menu:

I understand what the problem is now, but have no solution for it yet (please help).

My “items” colour is white, and that works well against the black background when I view it on desktop. But on mobile or iPad, when I click on the hamburger menu it doesn’t use a black background but the default white. Therefore, I get white letters on white background so nothing is visible!

So, if I can somehow change the menu background in mobile/ ipad to black, the problem will be solved. I don’t see a setting for it, but if it can be solved in custom CSS of (preferably) my child theme then my problem will be solved.

    SOLVED! ??

It is clearly explained in this document:
    https://docs.themeisle.com/article/946-neve-doc#header

I kept overlooking that settings icon when you hover over the menu content block! Tried to find the settings in other places, like the primary menu and other places…

Glad to hear everything’s good now!
