Neve Footer social icons (UltimatelySocial) not working

    Hello,

    I’ve installed the ‘Ultimate Social Icons and Share’ pluging by UltimatelySocial. I’ve been trying to use both their widget and their shortcode to add social icons to my Neve site Footer but they aren’t displaying.

    I’m adding the widget to the footer and can see the circular black social icons however, instead of appearing in the Footer they are stuck/sticky up the top of the page and only appear as a ghosted image (above the top Primary nav menu).

    Any recommendations for how to fix? Or, any recommendations for a better free plugin with icons I can use in the Footer that is more complimentary with Neve?

  • How did you manage to customize the social media icons please? I can see they work brilliantly on your site now?

    I’ve just posted a query here in terms of being able to customize the URLs:

    I can edit everything else in Neve except, strangely, the social media icons at the very bottom of the standard page template I’m utilising.

    There are three default icons for the theme template I’m using, for Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin. These go to URLs such as:

    https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?url=&text=

    I can ammend the icons in various ways. I can add and remove them.

    However, no matter what I try there isn’t an option to actually edit the URLs people are sent to when they click the icons! Spent a couple of hours trying to look for an option everywhere.

    How can one customize the URLs please?

    Hi @azaminfo,

    For adding more social sharing icons and edit their link, you can try the Orbit Fox plugin. The icons will look different than the ones from Neve, as they will be sticky on the left/right side of the page. You can set them to appear just on posts.

    Here is a guide that should help with setting up the icons.

    Thank you for your replies! Please excuse my delay in response as I have only just seen them, my apologies.

    I resolved the issue I was having customising UltimatelySocial’s ‘Ultimate Social Icons and Share’ plugin with Neve theme by removing Ultimate Social Icons plugin and installing another.

    I ended up going with Sassy Social Share plugin (Team Heateor). It works brilliantly with Neve ~ really user-friendly, easy to customise and free.
