    Hi there,

I tried to install Child Theme as I want to add my custom fonts and I followed the instruction from this link
    https://docs.themeisle.com/article/985-how-to-create-a-child-theme-for-neve

I downloaded the child theme and tried to install it. However, I received the following error message: –

“The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.
    Theme installation failed.”

May I know how to solve this?

    Thank you for your help!

    regards
    Shirls

  • Hi, shirls, I’m just a volunteer who likes helping in the Neve forums.

Are you able to please look inside the zip file for the child theme that you downloaded and verify that the styles.css file exist?

    Hi Ian,

Thanks for your reply! Yes, I have checked, it does exist.

The name of the file is called style and the file type is cascading style sheet. Is that the right one?

    Hi there,

Don’t worry, I figured out a solution! The whole purpose of wanting to add a child theme is to add custom fonts. I ended up using the Orbit Fox plugin which works well. Thank you so much!
