Network Visibility in subdomains

One of the admins for a site in one of the subdomains of a WordPress Multi-Network installation asked to be able to limit the visibility of her site to registered users of that site.
If I look at the original multisite domain, I can allow admins to limit the Network Visibility of their sites (this is found in the Settings menu in the Dashboard for the domain).
If I look at any of the multisite domains created after I installed the WP Multi-Network plugin, that particular option is not listed in the Settings menu and, under the Read Settings for any specific site within that domain, there is no option to restrict the network visibility, like there is for any site under the original domain.
Do you know of any fix to this problem or any work-around?
