• I am afraid I am technically challenged, so I would really appreciate a resolve to my problem.

    The following is a copy of the error log obtained from Bluehost. Basically, I cannot access the network dashboard, but I can access the individual subsites in my multisite network.

    [08-Dec-2013 05:02:44] WordPress database error Got error 28 from storage engine for query SELECT t.*, tt.* FROM wp_terms AS t INNER JOIN wp_term_taxonomy AS tt ON t.term_id = tt.term_id WHERE tt.taxonomy IN ('category') ORDER BY t.name ASC made by require('wp-load.php'), require_once('wp-config.php'), require_once('wp-settings.php'), do_action('init'), call_user_func_array, jb_sms_sitemap_flush_rules, WP_Rewrite->flush_rules, WP_Rewrite->wp_rewrite_rules, WP_Rewrite->rewrite_rules, apply_filters('category_rewrite_rules'), call_user_func_array, WPSEO_Rewrite->category_rewrite_rules, get_categories, get_terms

    Please help!!

    Turn off all your plugins. (Rename the folder to plugins-old).

    My guess would be your re-write rules (WPSEO_Rewrite->category_rewrite_rules … so WPSEO?) broke it somehow?

    jb_sms_sitemap_flush_rules is not a normal WP call, though. Do you have a jb_sms named plugin?

    Thanks for your reply. As I mentioned before, I remain technically challenged. However, I am aware that plugins are installed from the network admin dashboard, so I struggle to understand how to deactivate plugins if I cannot access the network admin area. Is this something that can be done via cpanel? Sorry about my ignorance.

    How did you edit the wp-config.php file when you edited it to activate Multisite?

    Use THAT tool to go in to your server, and go into wp-content

    In that folder, rename the plugins folder to plugins-old

    Also: If you are maintaining a WordPress Multisite, it is absolutely imperative you learn how to use FTP. ASAP.
