Network cameras streaming 24/7 videos to pages

I’m a little out of my element here, but does anyone know if there cameras that can be setup, either around a house or a construction site (hung from ceilings, in corners, etc..), where the feeds are accessible 24/7 and can be viewed on web pages?

I am looking for information about types of cameras and how to embed the streams, I guess all relevant information. I assume these cameras would have to be better than webcams and be able to capture/stream HD. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
