• Just finished the setup of a new blog and sent the URL out to my group so they can test drive the blog.

    I use Thunderbird; no problems there. But one group member just e-mailed me to say her Netscape 7.1 displays only a blank page. Tested it with my Netscape 8.0 and the blog homepage displays for a few minutes, but then disappears and an error warning “domain name mismatch” appears. And it locks up the browser – had to use Ctrl-Alt-Delete to shut the browser down.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

    about as many as one can come up with when asked to pontificate about something that they cant see for themselves. None.

    In other words, provide a link to what is you need help with.

    There’s no way to provide a link. It’s not a place, it’s a condition.

    I hoped that there was a known issue between WordPress’s setup and Netscape’s security settings, and for a simple point in the right direction.

    you cant provide a link to a blog? good luck with getting any meaningful help if you cant provide a link.

    @whooami

    no point in not being nice

    @ls

    A link to the page would still provide the opportunity to view the code and maybe come up with a possible solution. I didn’t even know that Netscape still made browsers. they don’t show up on any sites that I have in google analytics.

    curtismchale, po

    how about you worry about your own replies instead of mine.

    Curtis, thanks for your interest. I appreciate it.

    If you think it might help, here’s the URL:

    I see that I have some XHTML errors; all this is entirely new to me so I don’t yet know how to fix them, but also don’t have any reason to believe they might be the source of the problem.

    Again, thanks for any input.

    An XHTML error can cause unforseen problems you need to start there by fixing them. Especially make sure your javascript is correct and well written as a runaway javascript process will just keep running and kill browsers.

    On my side, for what it worth, everything is OK with netscape 7.2
