Nested categories for pages

  • Hey all,
    I have been searching the net for a solution but could not find anything. So my hope is that some of the advanced WP folks can point me to a solution.

    I want to set up a website which uses categories on pages (not posts), especially nested categories: E.g.https://www.mywebsite.com/alarm-systems/radio-based-alarm-systems/

    I managed to assign categories to pages using a plugin “Categories for pages”.

    This is what I want to achieve:
    Once I show all pages in a category, the page URL should include the categories & subcategories (currently it doesn’t)
    So if I show pages in the “alarm systems” category it should include the page with URL above

    Has anyone managed to set up such a structure? I know there is no easy solution for this, but at least some hints as to where I need to change something would be great.
