I”m hoping I’m just missing something but it doesn’t like nested blocks are getting picked up.

I have some container blocks in a site I’m maintaining that are showing up in the plugin but their contents are not.

My container row is showing up in 585 posts (most of them will have at least one text block inside but my text block is only showing up in 6 posts

    Hi @edeesims,

    Any thoughts on this?

    Hi Eddy,
    I’m having the same issue
Will be a great tool if this is resolved

    regards

+1, would be so wonderful if the plugin could do this. (Awesome plugin btw, thank you!)

Definitely need this feature. Would totally donate if it was in. Needed this to help me remove Jetpack from my site, as I have used the tiled gallery on a number of pages, but most of the pages have the majority of the content inside either a Qubely block wrapper or Column/Row block, so I can only see those, with a few exceptions where I didnt use the Qubely blocks to wrap content.

I will say, this is an issue you should mention *visibly* to people in the plugin, that it does not find blocks within other blocks, because if it wasn’t so glaringly obvious, I might have ended up only fixing the non-nested blocks and removing Jetpack thinking I was safe, only to still end up breaking a large number of pages.

I would imagine it would be helpful to people who don’t ever nest blocks, but it can possibly mislead a lot of others into damaging their sites if they don’t realize your plugin isn’t actually finding all the instances.

I have made the find-my-blocks plugin recursively find all blocks and nested blocks. Here is the changeset.

To use it yourself, just replace the register-route.php file with this version. Let me know if it doesn’t work.

@cjyabraham Thank you so much! That works for me.

@cjyabraham The new register-route.php file appears to work great for me, too. It makes the plugin incredibly useful. I’m looking forward to when it is included in the plugin.

Thank you so much @cjyabraham. This is now released with v2.3.0.

In addition I have added a tag to let you know which block type the block is nested in.

Let me know if there are more issues with this. I have some free time to continue to maintain this plugin, so I should be able to get back to a more regular release schedule.

    Great. Thanks.

One other mod I made to the plugin is to include drafts in the listing. It’d be ideal, however, if this was an option for people to toggle on/off. Just an idea.
