• Gutenberg loses users with low computer skills and slows down others.
In addition, each author can now destroy the graphic design with font sizes and colors.

Perhaps Gutenberg will one day be a good tool, but not today.

    Avoid at all costs.

  • One day Gutenberg (even the name is pretentious and annoying) might be a good tool, but not for designing WordPress posts. I guess it might have some use as a sort of virtual sledgehammer.

One of the main goals for Gutenberg is to work better for users without computer skills such as knowing how to code HTML.

Changing font size and color has been available in the past editor as well, so I don’t think this is necessarily specific to Gutenberg and font choice and color can be a very subjective topic. Appreciate the feedback though!

Gutenberg is named as it is because it is focused on writing. More on the naming, in case you are interested, can be found at https://ma.tt/2017/08/we-called-it-gutenberg-for-a-reason/

I do not deny your goal. My opinion is that you missed it.

Changing font size is a new featur, please show me the way to do so if i’m wrong.

As for changing font color, it whas kind of hiddent in a optional sub menu, it is now about the easyest thing to do. Easyer than writing in my opigon.
