I can only get buttons to show up on the front end when I create them with arbitrary text and add them to a widget. When I create them in the text interface (either using “add button” or pasting the short code into the text side of the box) for the call to action, work, or extra sections, only the short code displays on the front end. This is a recent issue and is driving me bonkers, but I don’t spend enough time working on this site to be able to pinpoint a cause. I’m using php 7.2, so that’s not it. Any help greatly appreciated!

    Hi,

Try to add any other shortcode to your page and see if that works.

The usual reason for it not working is when your theme or page builder doesn’t work with shortcodes. If possible add it to a native WordPress text editor and what happens.
