Negative rating to use the feedback mobile issue

    Hi again,

    This plugin rocks! I noticed that on mobile phones, the negative rating doesn’t take into account the threshold number, or any info from there.

    When I place a negative number on my desktop, the “submit feedback” box comes out, but when I do the same on mobile phone, it doesn’t show or work.

    I hope you know what I mean and provide a fix, or steer me in the right direction to get this fixed for mobile visitors.

    Also, the hover over seems to not take it, maybe it is different css for mobile?

    Hi,

    Please give the link to the website and I’ll check it out. On my test websites the feedback widget works normally also on mobile and I haven’t noticed such issues on other websites that use the plugin.

    Hover texts are for desktop only as on touch devices you can’t hover over an element. Well it depends on operating system how hover is handled. There is difference between Android and iOS ??

    I managed to make a quick video to show the issue I face in mobile. Notice, that I start showing in desktop, then changed the view in mobile. You’ll notice that when you click on 4 stars or less, the feedback form/button doesn’t show up in mobile view, but it does show up in desktop.

    Also, you’ll see the issue with the css (for hovering over the stars), it doesn’t take the color scheme I placed through my theme css. It works fine on desktop, but on mobile it shows only the default color.

    I checked and everything seems to work fine. Here is the explanation ??

    So, the “submit rating” button shows up on mobile because you have “Prevent accidental votes” feature enabled. This feature requires that on touch devices vote is confirmed by clicking a button. So, when you’ll click submit rating button on mobile the feedback form will be shown. You can just disable Prevent accidental votes feature and then it will work the same way as on desktop.

    As for the colors it works like this: Hover color is shown when you have mouse over the stars and rated color is shown when you click on a star – if you have social or feedback widget enabled you don’t see the rated color because the view changes to one of the widgets. So, set the “rated color” and you’ll see the difference ??

    Thanks again for your great help. You steered me in the direction of my issue. Indeed, I had the “prevent accidental votes” enabled. Now that it is disabled, it works as intended.
