Negative impact on the speed of site when using this plugin

Since installing this plugin on a clients site it has a negative impact on the speed and performance.
When I run a report in gtmetrix it comes up with the following suggestions
– Minimize redirects
Remove the following redirect chain if possible:

https://www.instagram.com/p/CBvyIXfHkgd/media?size=m is resized in HTML or CSS from 320×400 to 178×178. Serving a scaled image could save 21.0KiB (55% reduction).
