• Tried it and got broken pages when I was trying to see stats. It complained about an ad block, but disabling that only removed the complaining message. The admin pages were not fully loading. It also appears to be using javascript and not keeping things internal.

Hey, I’m sorry you had a bad experience. This error sounds strange and I’d like to look into it more.
If you have time could you please let me know which urls had these issues. Also if you could provide a list of the wordpress plugins you have installed so we can check for compatibility issues that could help us identify the issue.
The Matomo plugin does make use of javascript (most websites do) but doesn’t send any data to external sites. All of the data captured stays in the database on your WordPress server so you have total data ownership.

    Kind regards,
    Lance

I was just able to look at it again with the latest version. The bugs I saw last time appear to be gone. The real time showed some test clicks, only from one browser (tracking javascript blocking on otherbrowser?). Everything else remained empty.

@falcon13 If you are not showing reports or statistics on your Matomo Dashboard, this FAQ might sort out the issue: https://matomo.org/faq/wordpress/matomo-for-wordpress-is-not-showing-any-statistics-not-archiving-how-do-i-fix-it/
