• I am testing the latest version of the plugin (4.1.6) and I set up a “test” auction.

I have configured a valid email address for bid submissions and I am testing it as a logged in user.

Yet when I click on “Place Bid” I get a popup that says “Please enter a valid email ID”.

Can the system not detect the logged in user’s email address?

    What am I missing?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @correiar,

We have tested your issue on our test server but we could not reproduce this issue.

If you have selected the option “Without login as well” in auction settings and if you will enter any wrong mail id then the “Please enter a valid email ID” alert box will be displayed.

And if you have selected the option “Only if they are logged in” in the auction settings, only logged-in users will place bids for auction products and there is no issue found for logged-in users.

If you are still facing issues after logging in to the site, please post your query here.

    Thank You

I am logged in and system is configured for “Only if they are logged in” so why the popup?

    Hi @correiar,

Your query is sorted out via our PRO plugin support.

The Email Address Encoder plugin is installed on the site which conflicts with the auction plugin. Disabling the Email Address Encoder plugin resolves the issue.

    We hope this helps.

We’ll set this forum topic as resolved and please feel free to open a new forum topic if you have any further questions in the future.

    Thank You
