  • This new version fixed my problem with unattached images in galleries not being shown. Woot! https://www.sewwhatsherlock.com/testing/

Actually, correction. When Use for WP Gallery is unchecked, LBP is lightboxing images, as noted above, but my entire gallery is shown, which is why I thought it was fixed. When I check the Use for WP Gallery Box, it just shows the one attached image, rather than the entire gallery, as before.

Seems to fix it for me! (on my non localhost site). The shortcode now seems to be respecting IDs – so I can show just a selection of the images uploaded for that page (or to the gallery as a whole)

I am still getting the upload problems/errors I mentioned above on localhost, but maybe that’s something to do with my local configuration, I don’t know.

Yes – it seems the ‘Use for WP Gallery’ option is taken as true, whether it’s checked or not.

Update: I set up a fresh install on my same server, different site, with a clean database, checked the Use for WP Gallery Box, and now it’s working. https://spunmonkey.com/dev/?p=11

Hmm – ok. So that fixes part of the problem. Let me dig into the Use for WP Gallery check box being irreverent issue.

    Thanks for the help!

Hi. Just downloaded and installed fresh instance of WP + LBP trying multiple galleries on the single page, and discovered another issue.

When i uncheck Use for WP Gallery galleries works as expected – each has different pictures in it, but when I check it, every gallery on the page shows all pictures from uploaded for that page.

Hope it help a bit during investigation of the problem cause.

These issue should all be resolved as of version 2.5.4. Please note that in addition to checking Use for WP Gallery you must also check Separate Galleries in Post? for multiple galleries to be grouped separately.

    Thanks Dan!

I’ve been watching but not posting, as I had nothing to add, though my problems were similar to what was outlined by others. But the issues I had are now resolved with the update.

Thank you for such a great plugin, and for such a quick response.

When adding a gallery via the Add Media button, it appears that the required “link=file” isn’t getting added even though Link to: Media File is set in the gallery options.
The fix is to set Link to Attachment first and then change it back. Or of course use/edit the shortcode.

Should be fixed in 2.6 so long as the links are going to the media file.
