Needs to maintain history/state & make sure crawlable for SEO.
-
Hello!
This plugin looks great so far. Thanks for building it! It works great so far and will work for many use cases I’m sure. However there are a few things stopping me from using it right now though. For the particular project I’m working on, I need a little bit more functionality.
I’m just posting this so I can keep an eye on this project and see if others have any of the same requirements that I do.
- Need to maintain state of the form. The user must be able to click their back button in the browser to get back to the results they had previously.
- The ajax pages should be crawl-able by search engines. It doesn’t seem like they are after reading this article from Google Developers: Feel free to correct me if I’m misunderstanding. =)
- When choosing a hierarchical taxonomy for a dropdown, the dropdown will be a flat list and the hierarchy is lost.
- There is no way to choose a subset in a hierarchical taxonomy. You can exclude terms individually, but you can’t exclude by depth for example or “only children of”.
- Doesn’t seem to have a way to show form fields conditionally. However, this could probably be done on my end with some custom javascript. For example, “If option A was chosen, display options I. If option B was chosen, display options II.”
Thanks for reading!
