    Sounds like caching – assuming you are using a caching plugin (such as W3 total cache) review your settings. “Browser caching” for example (since logged in users don’t usually see cached pages via the page cache).

    Hi Mike,
    no, there are no caching plugins installed…

    found that deleting the .htaccess in the root by renaming it to .htaccessbak fixed this problem on my site which is installed in a folder.
    I have my wordpress site installed in a folder and not the root folder and copied the .htaccess file from the install folder to the root as instructed by WordPress for sites running in a folder not the root.
    Hope that helps anyone
