• Hi… I have a client whose site went down today because it was running PHP 7.4, and it appears an auto-update of Animations for Blocks was the culprit.

I see that the PHP requirements are in the readme.txt file, but I believe for WordPress to detect the requirements and prevent auto-update on unsupported systems, that also needs to be specified in the header of the plugin’s main PHP file.

My understanding — although I could be wrong —?is that the header info in the readme file is used by the WordPress Plugin Directory, but WordPress itself reads the plugin details from the main PHP file.
