Needing a copy of the front page with different layout?

I’m using a “magazine” type of theme, which works great for my front page layout. I can have boxes that parse out by category.
On the page I need help with, I need what is essentially a front page that’s more like one of the native themes (like 2016 or 2017), where it’s a chronological of all posts.
I’ll need to edit and add to the metadata, but I’d be happy starting with a basic listing of posts to start.
I know there’s an easy way to do this, I’m just drawing a blank and would greatly appreciate the help.
