I’ve manually set up several mobile numbers as subscribers and created a post, but apparently none have received a text message. I also tried using the manual text message send feature, saw it added to the queue, and then shortly thereafter disappearing from the queue, presumably after being sent. Still, no evidence that any of the subscribed phone numbers have received it.

So how to troubleshoot this? The site happens to be hosted by GoDaddy. Are there some settings I need to check on in my hosting account there?

I inquired with GoDaddy support about anything they may know about making this work. Here’s the response:

From what I could find using the link you provided, this plugin sends out emails to email to SMS gateways for cell phone providers.

In order to send email from your Go Daddy hosting plan, you must either use PHP mail() function or use our SMTP relay server relay-hosting.secureserver.net. This is likely the cause for the issue with both sending text messages and email notifications.

I was unable to find the method that this plugin uses to send the emails, this may be something you need to direct to the developer of the plugin.

This could be very helpful. Thanks!
