Need to unsync and resync plugin each month

Hello,
For a few months now we have been having an issue where, at the 1st of each new month, all orders through our Square payment gateway will fail until we remove and resync Square with our website, at which point orders work as normally.
This has happened on the 1st of each new month for at least 5 months now. We are currently using an older version of the plugin, version 1.0.38, and woocommerce 3.3.5 both of which we know are pretty out of date. However, we have tested updated both plugins to their newest versions and both cause several issues across the website.
Is there anyway to get a version newer than the one we have that may have a fix for the monthly issue but is still compatible with older versions of woocommerce?
