Need to restrict only for 1 product category with it’s sub-categories

  • Hi Phil,

    I want to restrict product category “Alcohol”, along with it’s sub-categories (Beer, Wine, etc). I need Age Gate to show on product archives, and single product pages.

    I’ve done the steps you mentioned here (except I set the inheritance to “Product categories”):

    For Alcohol and it’s sub-categories and products, it works flawlessly. BUT the problem is, Age Gate is also showing for other product categories (Bakery, Cheese, Sweet, etc). I’ve triple checked that I only enabled Age Gate on the Alcohol product category (main/parent category).

    Side note, I also enabled Age Gate for product attribute “Grape”, but for this I enabled on term level, no inheritance needed, and I enabled for all terms of Grape.

    I’m using WP Rocket, and I’ve tried to disabled it, still same issue.

    Do you have any idea why this happened?

    Hi @dickoms,

    The whole inheritance stuff is changing in the next major version (was meant to be out already, but had some minor snags).

    It’ll give far more granular control over this and works much better. There are preview versions available but will be official tomorrow/monday hopefully
