    Hello there,

    I’m building an ecommerce of italian food and we’d like to sell fresh and packed products, also to sell worldwide.

    The problem is that we can only ship fresh product with local delivery and therefore not all over the world.

    I would like to ask the user to insert their location upon entering the website and then customize their experience (hide products that cannot be shipped to their address) based on their location.

    I was looking at plugins and also several other forums but i did not find any solution regarding this matter.

    Can you give me some help? Thank you.

    Hello Gabriel and thank you for your support.

    I had a look at the plugin but it seems to allow only country restrictions, we need more specific restriction.

    Also it seem to use the shipping address field at the check out or the GeoLocation to understand the location of the user while we need to ask the user with anche address field upon entering the website, not at check out.

    Definitely, this is a nice plugin, but not what we are looking for.

    Maybe Conditional Shipping and Payments might be helpful here.

    With that, customers will still be able to add items to their cart, but they won’t be able to place an order if their shipping address is located outside a certain area, and if their cart contains certain products.

    For example, you can set up rules to hide all shipping methods and payment methods to a customer if their shipping address is outside Italy and their cart contains an item from the category “Fresh Products”.
    Or, only show the “Local Delivery” option if they are located in a certain area in Italy.
