Need to replace URL in post content

Hello,

I’ve tried to use the Search and Replace plugin to no avail. It either gives an error message

Warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /homepages/43/d249753155/htdocs/blog/wp-content/plugins/search-and-replace/search-and-replace.php on line 529

or tells me it can’t find anything to match my query.

My website was located at https://www.example.com/blog for the URL. Now I have it located at https://www.example.com though the files themselves did not move! So now, I need all my images to be redirected from https://www.example.com/blogs/photos to https://www.example.com/photos

How can I do this bulk search and replace since the plugin is not working?
